Household Hazardous Waste
Household Hazardous Waste hotline: 441-2005 (talk to a live technician Tues-Thurs 9-11am)
Most homes have shelves, closets and cupboards stocked with household products that make our lives easier. Unfortunately, many household products contain hazardous ingredients that can be harmful when not disposed of properly. Household hazardous waste comes in many forms, including household cleaners, automotive products, paint, batteries, solvents, and pesticides. Household hazardous waste (HHW) should NOT be disposed of in the trash, in the gutter or flushed down the toilet. Improper handling of these products can damage our environment and pose a serious threat to public health and safety.
